Behind My Blog

Stories and storytelling have been a part of my life for a long time. Language and sound can be heard before we are born. Then, shortly after, we sit on a lap being warmly hugged by arms as we look into a book and hear their voice again. Language development has begun. The concept of a story has begun! The rhyming words, bright colorful illustrations, and the flow of the words capture our attention. Fairy Tales, Dr. Seuss, Robert Munsch, Leo Lionni, Eric Carle, and many other authors’ words and stories enter our world. During this time, life happens and gives us stories to tell others. The opportunity for story lasts our entire life!

Identifying a story and recording it, in some way is what I want to experience, work-through, and capture with you. I want to discover and enrich the story experience you can have with your children and how you can help them identify and create their own stories.

This will be an adventure!
